The world of portraits

I began my studies and work in portrait photography at the age of 19, taking pictures for actors and actresses who were studying acting and needed a photographic book to send to agencies. A work that I continued later and with photo shoots for individuals both in the artistic field and in studio sessions. Although I am specialized in this subject, I have also worked as assistant and main photographer in cultural and business events.

For me, portrait photography is a way of getting to know people. Showing empathy and respect towards that person is vital to do this job. My duty as a photographer is to create security, to help to face that exposure in front of the camera, to understand and talk about how the photographs are going to be. Having a previous meeting is vital to make sure that the work, the photographic session, is a pleasant environment for both of you so that you can collaborate as much as possible and capture those desired photographs: your personality, your feelings, the story you want to tell, recreate a fiction, that side you are ashamed to show...
